Vegetables such as potatoes can by cutting seed potatoes are grown, and parts thereof provided that (it contains 2-3 "eyes"). This is because the plants usually small and difficult to say. If you already have around the potato for a long time, you'll probably find that the small indentations in the potatoes begin - Eyes - sprout little buds. If these plants can be transformed into potato plants.

Moreover, as already mentioned, there are many other plants, the leaves and branches can be cut and have to grow new plants. The reason is that the meristem, which (the part of plant tissue-producing cells and causes growth of the plant.) Shooting placed certain plants in the soil may, re the meristem growth - roots to create a clone of the original plant. (More on this in the link below).

Some plants can be started from a leaf. Some of the root. Some of stem or branch. Potato eyes. In fruit trees very often the use of the graft, especially in seedless varieties.

I have two examples that I grew up and share with you:
It is a hand that is strong (do not even know the name) but it felt like a kind of cactus leaves, small enough to pass between the pages of a book, but at least 4 inches from the underside of a leaf tip. My classmates at school gave me and told me to keep the book in the Root Out. As an adult I know that adventitious roots growing along the edges of the sheet. If there are many roots of germination, the leaf is grown in soil and plants that grow with time.
The second example is a different kind of cactus. It looks like a flower, but the "petals" could be leaves. They are thick. I cut each flower in the center of the stem and the installation of the "flower" in soil and water per day. Not too much, but enough water and grows fast and produces more of these "flowers" and is a new work. I think the plant gets its food and thick sheets of water. They produce roots, then that water and nutrientsGround and stored in leaf thickness.

The seeds are usually the product of fertilization of the flowers, male / female, sex center. But there are many plants have developed the means to reproduce without seeds.
Some plants produce stalks trains running through the ground to reach a suitable piece of land in the corridor over the roots and leaves (wild strawberries) to grow.
Other plants have leaves, the roots are established and a new facility if it falls to the ground alive. The leaves grow, even in part, on plants.
Some cut the trees to grow roots in good condition. Others (some succulents) really fall mini-growing plants like the leaves.

This is called vegetative propagation. Some plants such as strawberries, spider plants and some orchids are native. While others need compliments. OH, and is much easier for perennials for this year (Do not Waste Your Money try to) do with the sake of all this, what I have to go and do some tasks, making your own research
